about us

Our Name

The word "Sarkha" (صرخة) in Arabic translates to "scream" or "shout." It embodies a powerful expression of emotion and a call for attention. In the context of human rights and social justice, "Sarkha" signifies the urgent need to raise awareness about the Genocide in Palestine. This term encapsulates the collective voice of those who have been silenced, emphasizing the importance of amplifying their individual stories and advocating for accountability.

Who We Are

The Sarkha Project (formerly Themis Project) is a grassroots collective of volunteers from across the globe collecting open source evidence of war crimes committed against Palestinians by the Israeli Government. We are not in any way affiliated with law enforcement, Court or any political party. We are a grassroots  international collective of volunteers with many different backgrounds, nationalities, ethnicities, genders and professions who seek justice for the victims of the brutal Genocide on Gaza and the longstanding illegal Occupation of Westbank/Occupied Territories of Palestine. We currently do not accept or receive any funding and have no financial connections.

Our Mission

Our mission is to systematically gather and preserve open-source evidence pertaining to War Crimes, Crimes Against Humanity, Apartheid, Ethnic Cleansing and Genocide against Palestinians by the Israeli Government,  military personnel  and settlers. This evidence serves as the foundation for constructing comprehensive evidence packages, which we submit to the International Criminal Court (ICC) and International Court of Justice (ICJ) Lawyers for South Africa and ICC Lawyers for Palestine. Our vision is to provide the ICC investigators with evidence that helps facilitate the immediate issuance of arrest warrants for the primary perpetrators of the genocide against Palestinians, ultimately leading to their conviction. We pursue justice by leveraging open source media and technologically. Moreover, we aim to empower Palestinians to preserve and control their current and historical narrative and provide access to  pertinent evidence to their history free from Zionists influence and control.

Open source evidence refers to information and data that are publicly available and can be accessed, used, and shared freely. It encompasses a wide array of materials, such as documents, images, videos, social media posts, and academic papers, that individuals and organizations can utilize without legal restrictions. This type of evidence is crucial for various fields including journalism, law, and research, as it provides a foundation for transparency, accountability, and verification.

The power of open source evidence lies in its accessibility and the ability to corroborate claims and narratives. It enables investigators to gather insights from multiple sources, often leading to a more comprehensive understanding of events or situations. In a world where misinformation runs rampant, open source evidence serves as a valuable tool for promoting truth and fostering informed discourse. As digital platforms expand, the potential for open source evidence continues to grow, empowering individuals to challenge the status quo and seek justice.

Journalist Acknowledgments

The courageous work of journalists in Gaza and the West Bank is nothing short of heroic. They risk their lives daily, documenting their own genocide and suffering and in doing so, they ensure that the world's eyes are opened to the unimaginable realities they face. Through their efforts, we learn of the profound loss endured, with countless family members and colleagues falling victim to violence. Their selfless sacrifices contribute to the resistance and embody an unwavering commitment to humanity at large, which is of immeasurable value. Without their relentless pursuit of truth, the Sarkha Project would not exist; it thrives on the evidence of war crimes they courageously bring to light, reminding us all of the urgent need for justice and solidarity.

Upholding these ethical standards ensures the integrity of our work and protects both our team and the integrity of the evidence we gather. We conduct our activities in full compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and international standards. We refrain from engaging in any unlawful or unethical behavior in the course of our work. We strictly prohibit the acceptance of evidence from anonymous sources. This policy is non-negotiable, as it poses significant risks to our team members.
